Scrapbooking Ex-boyfriends?
29 Jul 2010
Any tips on scrapbooking old loves? I married now and don’t want to emphasize the "love" I had with the ex-boys. Both for my husband and kids. However, they were a part of my life and I would like to keep that memory. Any tips or ideas on how best to go about this?
Years ago I saw someone ask the same question and someone gave a really cool answer. You know how they say you have to kiss a lot of frogs to get your prince, they told the person to make a layout or two about the "frogs" or the ones that led you to your prince. It may not be the ideal way you want to remember them, but at least it spares the feelings of your husband.
You can also do one page of them and make it like your path to marriage, or like a what you learned from them, etc. This way it has more of a focus other than being a past love. It’s a touchy situation, but it’s a part of life that everyone goes through.
Good luck and I hope these ideas help!

2010 Jul 29 1I think you’re nuts for wanting to commemorate ex boyfriends in a scrapbook.
Personally, I don’t want to think about my parents dating anybody else, and I don’t see how that would be any different.
There are some things in life that your children don’t need to know about. I’m not so sure they want to see your past loves.

2010 Jul 29 3Do it the way that you would want your husband to do his ex-loves.

2010 Jul 29 4If they aren’t already scrapbooked, don’t bother. But they are part of your past and your kids will love to see who you dated when they are older. My parents, who have been married over 50 years, still have a few pictures of old girlfriends and boyfriends and it’s hilarious! We still tease them about it! If I were you I would just put them in a photo box with other pieces of memorabilia.
