I want to start a hobby of scrapbooking. Since I am new at this, I want to know what kind of supplies I will need. Also, if I just cut out pictures from magazines and paste them on paper, is that called scrapbooking? My last question is that, is there some kind of special paper used for scrapbooking?

I am not doing digital scrapbooking.
If I use construction paper, will it be okay?

- Theres a scrapbooking kit that comes with millions of things thats like $50
- Magazine are totally good for scrapbooking

Why are my ex’s friends curious about my love life?

My ex broke up w. me about 4months ago. He worked sooo hard to pursue me; genuinely cared was even more serious about it than me. I was happy being alone but ultimately decided he was worth being with and he had potential and within a span of 2-3 months, he just "didn’t feel like having a girlfriend anymore". It was a good relationship; we had the quality of a serious relationship in that short time- met his family, brought me to a wedding, was close w. his good friends, dealt w. money issues, just very comfortable w. each other…when we first met (not dating, talking, etc…), he had told all his friends he had "met someone special". Right now he wants to be "selfish", no 3rd party, and "it wasn’t the right time, not ready". We didn’t have a bad breakup but I cut off everything and just ran away…haven’t spoken to him since. He sent me a few txts reitirating our convo fr. the next before (apologizing) but i never responded back. Mutual friends say he was just too "immature" for me (also insecure/scared). He (and his close friends & family) would say i was "everything he wanted in a girl" yet when we broke up he said he wasn’t ready for the kind of relationship i was giving him. I never talked/seen him since. I’ve never commented on the breakup on fb or have said anything bad about him…nor have i commented on anything about love or relationsihps or revenge…nothing like that.

His friends have been more than nice to me after the breakup. We were never super close but I always got along w. them when I would see them at parties or at their place. His girl friends (who are like his sisters) are very protective of him yet seem to be more protective of me than him. They still love him but always tell me how much they hate what he did to me and would want to see me now then to "catch up" (keep in mind, it’s always them initiating; not me). My ex’s sisters (only met them once but got along great) would always be on my fb account and would "like" my pictures and status. To be honest, the breakup affected my "self esteem" more than my heart. I I worked hard at the new job, met people, kept busy and worked 5-6 days/week, got into scrapbooking more, spent more time w. friends, went out at night more, worked out (LOST 13lbs! , and even went to dinner w. a gentleman i met at a wedding. I just got back from vacation w. family and hawaii and i feel like i’m a completely different person – better and stronger. I also found out I got into nursing school. Great blessings for me. Before I left, I posted a pic of me and a cute dancer who worked at the luau I was with and jokingly put, "yup, i got to bring him home. muahaha" My status read lyrics fr. a song that said "you’re amazing, just the way you are" (which is dedicated to me. I found love for myself in hawaii and finally stoped blaming myself for the breakup). Well, my ex’s uncle (who happens to be my best friend’s boyfriend) made a comment on the pic and said, "so you found a new guy on your vacation…?" I’ve know him longer than my ex and he was never once interested in anything about my personal life. And apparently all my ex’s friends were "talking about the picture" and assumed that I’m now dating that dancer from the luau?! CRAZY…first, it’s not true. I really didn’t think much of it and 2nd, why would they care so much? (and not be rude but the guy in the pic is kind of a big upgrade fr. my ex…just fr. the looks/stature of it…I’ve also changed. I lost weight, fit, tan, did my hair differently, in cute summer outfits…) and 3rd, how could you assume I have a new bf if i’m just taking a pic w. a cute luau dancer?
We didn’t date that long…i’m just a girl…i’m his ex, yet they’re still so nice to me and apparently "everyone’s talking about the picture"…which is really nothing – that’s why i’m confused to why it’s a "big deal"/surprise to his friends…

They are either interested in you or your ex wants to come back and is asking his friends about your availability.

How do I get some scrapbooking done with no space?

I am living in a hospital room for weeks at a time. To keep myself occupied, I’d like to do a little scrapbooking, but always overdo it by bringing too much supplies. I ofton forget crucial items like the pictures!

What should I put in a scrapbook I made for my friend’s baby?

My friend is due at any time really, early this June. I bought a cute pink gingham scrapbook that I put her baby’s initials on. I already have pages in it like first steps, etc.
What kind of personal touches can I put in it so that it’s not your general everyday baby scrapbook?

In my daughter’s scrapbook I have a page that is all about the day she was born. What movies were popular, what songs were popular, who was the president, how much gasoline costed, and other important things like that. I also have a calendar that has each month for one year and says height and weight. Each month I take her measurements and record them on the calendar.

What can I make using small pieces of scrap wood and wood shavings. I hate to see them go to waist.?

My boyfriend makes cabinet doors and has alot of scrap wood and wood shavings left over. We are wanting to come up with a way to recycle that wood and make something new. The pieces of wood are not very big at all and there are alot of wood shavings. But I just can’t think of a way to recycle it into something new. What would you do?

How about some back to nature – make bird houses/feeders, butterfly houses, bat houses, squirrel and chipmunk stations, etc. I’m sure you can find great plans on the Internet – but for someone who is talented enough to make cabinet doors – these projects would be a piece of cake – if you want you could paint and decorate them. if you make so many that your yard would look like a nature sanctuary – give them to a nursing home – patients can spend many hours watching the antics of birds etc.
I’m sure if you donate these wonderful projects the nursing home staff would put them up.
Thanks for recycling. And being a friend of nature, besides entertaining the elderly and infirmed.
PS. shavings are good nesting material, also good composting material for garden beds.

What hobby should I take up?

I need a hobby to take up. I have already tried rock collecting, sewing, knitting, cross-stitiching, fishing, origami, cooking/baking, gardening, singing, instruments, and scrapbooking. I need something new to do over the summer.
I am open to any ideas, as long as they are not dumb.
I do have $100 that I can use to start my hobby.
i already am voulrnteering this summer
it needs to be something that i can do alone
i already play sports

Nobody could really know about why for sure. But here’s a couple of suggestions I can give you for why they are so curious.

1. they are plain nosy.

2. They wanna tease your ex

3. They like you, so they try to make their friend jealous so he comes back to you cause they want to see you two together ( Less likely, but still a possibility )

4. One his friends likes you, so the other friends are talking about it to tease him.

5. They have nothing else to talk about

Although this may sound stupid, I am dead serious.

What are the best products (shelving, et al) to buy to build your own scrapbooking station at home?

I’m not looking for totes or anything for portable scrapbooking. I want to build a scrapbooking work center in my home office. What are the best products (shelving, cubes, etc) to use? And where can I find them? Thank you for your help!

Brand new in my Micheal’s store this month are Making Memories cubes, drawers (2) and turntable table top organizers. The cubes and drawers fit together and stack together. All are white and are made of MDF. Prices are good but the cubes only have 2 or 3 compartments. They also have a huge, lovely, white wall shelf. It’s a bout 4 inches deep and holds jars and stuff with 2 paper towel like holders for ribbon spools to spin freely on. Looks really nice. That’s what I would do but depending on how your paper is organized, you may need lots of cubes to separate colours etc. Good luck!

What are some good ideas for my Beta Club scrapbook?

I’m competing in scrapbook this upcoming weekend. The theme of our book is "Road Trip". So far we have done the membership pages which have each member on a "License" with maps as backgrounds. I using those green signs with the name of the city in how many miles as the content page, and a billboard as the title page. I need help with what to do on the officer pages, and service and activity pages. The activity pages and service pages are basically pictures and captions, I just need theme ideas. Thanks so much! We really want to win!

Route 66 with its vintage signs, the 50 states, do a convertible with everyone’s picture collages into the seats, a junk food page/spread (you know like Funyuns and truck stop burritos), National monuments or places people take road trips to like the Grand Canyon or from the snow country to the south.
